Lumi and the Lantern Garden

Chapter 1: The Flower That Would Not Glow

Lumi followed a trail of silver snails beneath the ferns and found a garden hidden behind a curtain of ivy. Every flower held a tiny lantern, except one shy blue bud that stayed dark. The garden keeper, a gentle hedgehog named Bristle, said the flower had stopped glowing after a storm. Lumi wanted to fix it quickly, but Bristle explained that lantern flowers opened only when someone noticed what another creature needed. Before Lumi could answer, a family of fireflies arrived, tired and cold.

Chapter 2: A Little Light for Everyone

Lumi folded broad leaves into small tents and carried dew drops from the stream. Bristle gathered soft moss, while the fireflies showed Lumi which roots were safe to cross. Each helpful act made the blue bud brighten for one heartbeat. Soon a lost beetle found the path home, and a sleepy moth curled beneath a leaf. Lumi understood that the garden was not waiting for one grand solution. It was listening for many small kindnesses.

Chapter 3: The Garden Shines

At dusk, the fireflies were warm enough to fly again. They circled the blue flower, and the flower opened into a bright lantern that lit every path in the garden. Bristle smiled as Lumi saw the secret: the light had grown because everyone had shared what they could. On the way home, Lumi left a leaf tent by the stream for any tired creature. The garden glowed behind the ivy, ready for the next kind visitor.
